Mission Cloud Launches AI Service To Optimize AWS Solutions

‘The significant opportunities within the Mission AI Foundation lie in what comes after they launch an AI application,’ says Ted Stuart, president and COO at Mission Cloud. ‘Many businesses think that launching a service is like crossing the finish line, when in reality they’re just getting started. We help guide customers through that realization.’

Mission Cloud has launched Mission AI Foundation, an all-inclusive service designed to help businesses optimize their AI solutions on Amazon Web Services. The service combines support, engineering, strategy and guidance to help organizations manage their cloud infrastructure and build better AI practices.

“The significant opportunities within the Mission AI Foundation lie in what comes after they launch an AI application,” Ted Stuart, president and COO at Mission Cloud (pictured), told CRN. “Many businesses think that launching a service is like crossing the finish line when in reality they’re just getting started. We help guide customers through that realization.”

The widespread interest in AI adoption is often met with significant challenges and concerns such as financial management, security and knowledge gaps. Mission AI Foundation combines AI expertise and cost management for efficient growth in a business.

Los Angeles-based Mission Cloud, which is on CRN’s 2024 MSP 500 list, provides a comprehensive approach through the service to enable customers to focus on innovation and growth.

“The two primary areas of concern for our customers regarding AI and AI tools are the reliability of the models and understanding the return on investment,” Stuart said. “One of the major concerns customers have with AI is not getting swept up in the hype, particularly when it involves understanding ROI and building a solid business case for their specific use cases.”

Mission AI Foundation leverages Mission Control, the company’s cloud services platform, alongside Amazon QuickSight and Amazon Q, to provide cost visualization and management capabilities.

The service engages customers in a number of ways including AI solutions optimization, architecture guidance and prompt engineering; continuous cost optimization and ongoing financial management; guidance on foundational best practices and cloud governance; 24/7 enterprise support and cloud strategy for adopting technologies.

It gives businesses access to a team of certified cloud analysts, technical account managers, solutions architects and AI engineers. It also offers continuous guidance on prompting best practices to improve accuracy, reduce hallucinations, and enhance overall model performance.

“We talked to a few external companies and Mission was our clear preference,” Matt Cielecki, CTO of Los Angeles-based audio and video media company JibJab, said in a statement. “They understood our problem and portrayed very clearly how they could use existing and cutting-edge technology to solve it. It gave us the confidence that if we needed something changed or explained, Mission would be able to do it in a way that we’d be able to understand.”

Stuart said Mission Cloud collaborated with hundreds of customers on AI use cases, witnessing firsthand how AI can transform businesses and drive “remarkable achievements.”

“We take pride in being part of this journey and supporting real customers who are making significant contributions to their industries,” he said.
