HP’s Stephanie Dismore Joins AMD As EMEA President: Sources

HP veteran Stephanie Dismore continues to be a ‘Ryzen’ star in the industry as she takes a new role heading up the EMEA business for chip vendor AMD.

HP Inc. Managing Director of Northwest Europe Stephanie Dismore, a 25-year HP veteran, has joined rising CPU and GPU provider AMD as president of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), sources told CRN.

Dismore, who heads up a multibillion-dollar business for several countries across Northwest Europe for Palo Alto, Calif.-based HP, joins AMD as the chip maker is moving to capture increased share in CPUs with its Ryzen processor and GPUs with its Radeon products.

HP Friday confirmed that Dismore, widely respected as a passionate channel advocate, has left the company for another opportunity.

CRN reached out to AMD but had not heard back at press time.

“This is a big boost for AMD to drive growth with CPUs, GPUs and AI offerings in the global market,” said Bob Venero, CEO of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Future Tech Enterprise, No. 76 on the CRN 2024 Solution Provider 500. “Stephanie is one of the top technology executives in the business. I have the deepest respect for her and her ability to grow that AMD business working hand in hand with global system integrators and the channel. I think this is going to help AMD grow share in the global 2000 market.”

Venero said Dismore’s addition to the AMD management team could also lead to other talented executives joining the company.

“When you hire someone at an elite level like her, it sparks other talented executives to look at joining a company,” said Venero.

Dismore made her mark at HP as a top channel executive overseeing the Americas commercial channel for HP in 2015, and then one year later becoming vice president and general manager of Americas Channels for nearly four years.

In 2019, Dismore became senior vice president and managing director of HP North America before taking on the HP Northwest Europe job in September 2023.

Venero said Dismore has been one of the top executives he has ever worked with in terms of driving channel sales growth. “Stephanie has proven time and time again in every role that she knows how to work with partners to drive sales growth and success,” he said.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based AMD plans to ramp up channel efforts soon around its growing portfolio of Instinct data center accelerator chips, the main avenue AMD is seeking to use to challenge Nvidia’s dominance in the AI computing space, Forrest Norrod, AMD’s top data center executive, told CRN in June.
