Google Earnings Hub Aims To Help Partners Track Incentives

‘This is making it easier for partners to see, if you just do this one thing, here’s where you’re eligible to earn more,’ Google VP Colleen Kapase says.
Google Cloud has introduced a new “earnings hub” platform that helps partners track earned and potential incentives, with plans for Workspace and Security Operations incentives tracking “in the coming weeks” and chat experiences powered by artificial intelligence “in the coming months.”
The platform is part of the Mountain View, Calif.-based cloud and AI vendor’s move to empower services partners and simplify payments for pilots, migrations, post-sale services and other incentives, Colleen Kapase, Google Cloud’s recently installed vice presidentof channels and partner programs, told CRN in an interview.
“The intention is not just to be transparent for partners to see, what have I done, what have I earned through all those various services-based work, but also accelerate the adoption of these incentives,” Kapase said. “Incentives have a lot of rules. A lot of ways in which you have to engage. And so this is making it easier for partners to see, if you just do this one thing, here’s where you’re eligible to earn more.”

Miles Ward, chief technology officer at SADA, a Los Angeles-based Google partner and member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500, told CRN in an interview that the solution provider has seen “an unbelievable amount of demand from customers” for AI offerings.
Some of the demand has ranged from enterprise search capabilities to help workers better find materials to AI tools for salespeople to summarize long interactions, said Ward, whose company is part of Insight–No. 17 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500.
Ward expects to start building “suites of tools on a job role basis” and continuing to help customers consolidate data centers and modernize infrastructure to take advantage of the new AI era. He described “many” customers as having AI use cases in production.
“Everybody wants a little of the magic right now,” he said. “So we are trying to help companies fan out as they approach doing this for real.”
Earnings hub comes with a unified dashboard, incentive analysis, filterable data and the ability to download incentive data as a comma-separated values (CSV) file. It has the same security measures as the Partner Advantage portal, according to Google.
The dashboard brings together information on rebates, discounts, funds and credits. Users can sort information by time period, product family and customer segment, according to the vendor. Partners can analyze earnings to help decide where to invest in their business.
The upcoming AI chat experience will offer partners improved data analysis and recommendations for maximizing earnings potential, according to Google. The AI chat experience might bring to mind Microsoft’s preview for an AI-powered assistant in Partner Center that can answer questions and support ticket creation.
Earnings hub pilot partners include Promevo, 66degrees and Pythian–No. 283 on CRN’s SP 500.
