20 Tech Companies Hiring In The IT Channel: January 2025


Heartland Business Systems, CDW, Leidos, SAP, SAS and Vertex are among the companies to list open positions for channel-related roles.


This month, Heartland Business Systems, CDW and Leidos are among the solution providers to list open positions while SAP, SAS and Vertex are among the vendors to list open positions for channel-related roles.

CRN has looked at open listings on LinkedIn that would bring talent into the channel—either by working with a partner or by working at a vendor to support partners.

Open Jobs In The IT Channel

Open roles include:

  • A Level One cabling installer at Heartland Business Systems
  • A Microsoft business development manager making at least $63,000 a year with CDW
  • An instructional systems designer in Oklahoma City making at least $63,700 a year with Leidos
  • A solution sales executive who can make at least $180,500 a year with SAP
  • A solutions enablement adviser with SAS
  • A NetSuite channel sales manager with Vertex

Bloomberg projects that in December, U.S. payrolls increased 160,000 and the unemployment rate should be 4.2 percent. The payroll number would put 2024’s average monthly job growth at about 180,000. That number is lower than the previous three years but still considered “healthy.”

Here are some of the latest job openings in the channel.


Censys

Censys has an opening for a channel account manager who can make at least $200,000 a year in on-target earnings, according to a LinkedIn listing.

The Ann Arbor, Mich.-based threat hunting intelligence platform provider wants this manager to “identify, enable, and expand our relationships and revenue with East channel partners,” according to the listing.

Candidates should have “5+ years of sales experience exceeding revenue goals” and “5+ years of programmatic partner program experience with a consistent track record of success, preferably in the cybersecurity sector.”

Censys has about 50 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.


Proofpoint

Proofpoint seeks a strategic sales specialist who will “partner with the channel organization to secure new share of the security market,” according to a LinkedIn listing this month.

The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based security vendor wants this specialist “to cover Strategic Accounts in the East New England Area (NY, Philly, Boston)” and boost information protection sales.

Candidates should have “experience and knowledge selling into the enterprise space, preferably in the South region” plus “enterprise software sales experience and selling cybersecurity,” according to the listing.

According to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs, Proofpoint has been working to increase the “overall percentage of company revenue that comes through the channel” and “improve partner sales skills.”


SAP

SAP is looking for a solution sales executive who will “facilitate collaboration with the partner ecosystem” and make at least $180,500 a year.

The Germany-based business application vendor will task this SSE with creating “a complete territory business plan that generates at least 4x their quota in pipeline opportunity” and developing “an opportunity plan containing the value proposition for all of SAP’s targeted line of business solutions (CRM, HCM, SCM, GRC, EPM, Business Intelligence, etc.),” according to the LinkedIn listing.

Candidates should have “3-5 years of experience in sales of business software/IT solutions.”

According to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs, SAP has been working to “improve partner profitability” and “increase the amount of recurring revenue going through partners.”


SAS

A LinkedIn listing this month shows that SAS has an opening for a pre-sales solutions architectfor the state of North Carolina who will support “partner development & enablement, as well as partnered sales opportunities.”

The Cary, N.C.-based analytics software vendor wants this architect “to support the State of North Carolina vertical within our Government Division” with “technical assistance for both software pre-sale and post-sale activities utilizing knowledge of technology, products, solutions and any relevant industry domain,” according to the listing.

Candidates should have a “bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or another related field” and “5+ years in technical marketing, technical support, information systems, or a related area of expertise including three years of programming in an open-source language or developing SAS applications with at least two interactive operating systems supported by SAS.”

The vendor also seeks a solutions enablement adviser who will “advise SAS consultants, partners and customers as needed during the sales and delivery cycle” and “create trainings and tools and drive the adoption of best practices which improve the speed and consistency with which SAS global teams and Partners implement SAS Risk, Fraud, and Compliance Solutions for customers,” according to a separate listing.

Candidates should have a “bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering or other quantitative field, or commensurate experience” and “5+ years relevant experience with SAS products and solutions.”

SAS has about 1,700 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.


Akamai Technologies

Akamai Technologies has an opening for a senior lead enterprise sales executive for new and existing accounts in Virginia making at least $189,800 a year in on-target earnings.

The Cambridge, Mass.-based cloud and cybersecurity vendor wants this executive to “collaborate with the wider Akamai team and channel partners to pursue and generate sales opportunities,” according to the LinkedIn listing.

Candidates should “have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.”

Akamai also seeks a Level Two partner solutions engineer who can make at least $91,600 a year in base salary, according to a separate LinkedIn listing.

The engineer will “play an integral part in sales cycles, defining solutions and go-to-market sales motion of our partners” and “work with the Channel Sales team to grow Akamai’s strategic products,” according to the LinkedIn listing.

Candidates should “have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, MIS, related field or its equivalent.”

Akamai has about 200 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.


Genesys

On LinkedIn this month, Genesys has an opening for a vice president of global alliance and partner sales who can make at least $232,100 in salary a year.

The Menlo Park, Calif.-based customer experience and call center technology vendor wants this vice president to “lead an organization responsible for managing the global relationships with select partners who have distributed operations in many or all regions,” according to the listing.

Candidates should have “experience of having worked successfully in a private equity backed company” and “proven experience of being able to succeed in a global and matrixed organization, with the ability to balance stakeholder expectations and ensure team and organizational goals are achieved.”


NinjaOne

NinjaOne has multiple job openings this month, according to LinkedIn.

The Austin, Texas-based IT automation tools provider has opportunities that include:

  • Regional marketing manager for public sector making at least $120,000. The hire will “develop and execute strategic marketing plans to drive growth in the public sector (Federal, State & Local Government, K12-Higher Education) by leveraging a mix of face-to-face, digital, email, content, and targeted campaigns.”
  • Enterprise account executive who can make at least $100,000 a year base pay.The AE “is responsible for achieving sales and profitability objectives and focuses on growing wallet share in our largest Enterprise Accounts, as well as helping Ninja get traction within net new Enterprise Accounts”
  • Account manager who speaks English and Spanish or Portuguese. The hire “will be responsible for growing your individual book of business within your portfolio of existing accounts”
  • Software engineering manager who can make at least $150,000. The hire will be “responsible for building new and maintaining existing features, building the core of the NinjaOne IT Operations suite of our SaaS offerings.”
  • Sales development representative (SDR) manager. The hire will “develop and execute demo strategies to schedule a targeted number of demos for the SDR team.”
  • Customer enablement manager. The hire “will be responsible for improving and maintaining NinjaOne’s customer education programs within our customer academy”
  • Customer advocacy manager who can make at least $100,000 a year. The hire “will lead a fast-paced, agile program that includes enterprise-level customer storytelling, third-party review site management, and multi-channel Voice of Customer amplification.”

According to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs, NinjaOne is working to “increase (the) overall percentage of company revenue that comes through the channel” and “increase the amount of recurring revenue going through partners.”


Semrush

Semrush seeks a global channel sales director this month, according to a LinkedIn post.

The Boston-based online marketing platform provider wants this director “to shape and lead Semrush’s channel program, cultivate key partnerships, and drive measurable impact across global markets,” according to the LinkedIn listing.

Candidates should have “8+ years in channel sales or business development, ideally in SaaS or digital marketing.”

The vendor also has an opening for a senior account executive who will “foster channel partnerships to drive growth,” according to a separate listing.

The AE will also “provide feedback on market trends” and “identify and win new business while expanding relationships with mid-enterprise accounts,” according to the listing.

Candidates should have “5+ years of dynamic sales experience, with a focus on high-volume outreach” and “7+ years of overall professional experience” plus “3+ years of experience in high-volume phone sales, excelling in lead generation.”


Vertex

This month on LinkedIn, Vertex lists an opening for a NetSuite channel sales manager.

The King of Prussia, Pa.-based tax management technology vendor wants this hire to “carry a channel sales quota, as well as administer sales practices, tools, and policies used by the partners to meet and exceed sales goals,” according to the LinkedIn listing.

Candidates should have “Six (6) or more years of experience partnering with sales and marketing with responsibilities to meet and exceed financial targets for assigned region or channel, contract negotiation, and account retention” and a “bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.”

Vertex has about 800 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.


Kaseya

Kaseya has dozens of job openings to start the new year, according to LinkedIn listings.

The Miami-based IT tools vendor has open roles including:

  • Senior account manager. The hire will “partner closely with customers to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, leveraging additional features or services to drive revenue growth.”
  • Content specialist. The hire will “develop engaging and informative learning content, including eLearning modules, video tutorials, presentations, guides, and quizzes that align with the needs of the sales team.”
  • Software developer. The hire will “build and maintain robust, scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.”
  • Deal desk analyst. The hire will “analyze and structure complex deals to align with company objectives and customer needs.”
  • Product manager in Miami. The hire will “define the product’s vision and goals, identifying a long-term strategy and roadmap in alignment with Kaseya’s overall objectives.”
  • Service consultant. The hire will “provide timely and efficient consulting and process integration services to new SMB partners using Kaseya’s IT Complete Suite of solutions (including PSA, RMM, IT Glue, and Security).”
  • Level one technical support expert for cybersecurity in Orlando.   • Senior adviser making at least $64,286 a year. The hire “is responsible for selling Digital Transformation services to help customers meet business velocity objectives.”
  • Field chief technology officer making at least $193,000 a year. The field CTO will “develop segment strategies with CDW Sales Segment VP’s and other leaders that includes how to best engage with their segment leaders, key sellers and most strategic accounts, developing a regular cadence to both share DV offerings and perspectives as well as to be informed on evolving segment needs.”

The Denver-based company, a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500, seeks the following among its open roles:

Coalfire

Coalfire has a handful of openings this month, according to LinkedIn listings.

The Greenwood Village, Colo.-based company, a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500, seeks the following among its open roles:

  • Senior manager with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program advisory making at least $94,000 a year. The hire will “execute examine, interview, and test procedures in accordance with compliance advisory security control framework (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, StateRAMP, DoD, etc.), etc.) requirements.”

Leidos

Dozens of openings are available at Leidos at the start of 2025 for those interested in a role in the channel, according to LinkedIn listings.

The Reston, Va.-based company, No. 10 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500, seeks candidates for job roles that include:

  • User experience lead in Doral, Fla., making at least $126,100 a year. The hire will “oversee the technical execution of IT and Cyber Services programs supporting the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) 2 contract.”
  • Instructional systems designer in Oklahoma City making at least $63,700 a year The hire will “develop a plan and strategy for creating micro-learning training videos and role-based training courses that align with training objectives to meet the target audience.”

  • Oracle PostgreSQL Aurora developer and administrator in Ashburn, Va., making at least $104,650 a year. The hire will “support the Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) within Customs and Border Protection (CBP)”
  • Senior cybersecurity analyst and Elastic detection engineer in Pearl City, Hawaii, making at least $104,650 a year. The hire will “be working with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to develop, manage, and support scalable search and analytics solutions for the DISA GSM-O II program.”
  • Senior principal proposal manager making at least $148,850 a year. The hire will “lead the proposal development process from pre-proposal phase through post-proposal submittal phases.”
  • Logistics analyst making at least $44,200 a year. The hire will be “planning, organizing, securing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific program goals and objectives.”
  • Document management analyst making about $19.98 an hour in Washington, D.C. FusionTek

FusionTek seeks a help desk technician who can make at least $30 an hour, according to a LinkedIn listing this month.

The Kirkland, Wash.-based company, a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500, wants this tech to “be troubleshooting Windows 10 / 11 and MacOS regularly in addition to working in Office 365 and Active Directory as parts of your day,” according to the listing.

Candidates should have a “minimum of 1 year of professional IT support experience” and “ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds” among the list of requirements.
