ePlus Looks For Big Services Expansion With Bailiwick Acquisition

‘This acquisition opens many doors for customers of both organizations, offering a full spectrum of technology solutions and services through one provider. Bailiwick will be a wonderful complement to our business and our Services portfolio and we welcome them to the team,’ says ePlus CEO and President Mark Marron in a statement.

Global IT solution provider ePlus Tuesday said it has acquired Bailiwick Services, a managed IT services provider specializing in the integration and implementation of large-scale technology initiatives.

Prior to its acquisition by ePlus, Bailiwick was owned by investment company Norwest Equity Partners. Norwest invested in Bailiwick in 2017.

Herndon, Va.-based ePlus is bringing Chaska, Minn.-based Bailiwick into its ePlus Technology subsidiary. The acquisition, for which not dollar value was disclosed, closed Monday.

ePlus, ranked No. 26 on the CRN 2024 Solution Provider 500, has acquired over 30 companies since its IPO in 1996. In addition to Bailiwick, the company this year also acquired Denver-based Peak Resources.

Bailiwick, which does business across the U.S. and Canada, is a nearly 30-year-old organization providing a wide range of services around such areas as integrated intelligence, WLAN, loss prevention, asset lifecycle, help desk, digital signage, loss prevention, store openings and closing, and even electric vehicle charging.

The company claims to have a nationwide network of 25,000 technicians who work with 700 industry partners, and said it annually configures 200,000 devices and packages and ships over 2 million devices.

ePlus did not respond to a CRN request for more information by publishing time.

However, in a prepared statement, ePlus CEO and President Mark Marron said that continuing to develop and enhance its services business is an important part of the company’s growth strategy.

“This acquisition opens many doors for customers of both organizations, offering a full spectrum of technology solutions and services through one provider. Bailiwick will be a wonderful complement to our business and our Services portfolio and we welcome them to the team,” Marron said.

Bailiwick CEO and President Bob Marko, in a prepared statement, said being part of a larger organization will be a big plus to his company’s customers.

“As technology evolves and consumer-facing organizations embrace AI and other areas to enhance the experiences they can provide their customers, having a parent company like ePlus provides an incredible depth of resources that will benefit them,” Marko said. “Our decades of experience now combined with the acquisition by ePlus means that our customers can access and enjoy the expanded capabilities, talent and skill sets that a global provider can offer.”
