ATSG, Success Computer Consulting, Zoom, Microsoft, CrowdStrike and Kyndryl were among the tech companies making key executive hires and moves in October 2024.
New CEOs of ATSG and Success Computer Consulting and a new CFO at Zoom were among the biggest executive moves in October.
Taking those top spots, respectively, were Russell Reeder, formerly with Netrix; Mark Clayman, formerly with Navisite; and Michelle Chang, formerly with Microsoft.

October Tech Executive Moves
Microsoft, CrowdStrike and Kyndryl were among the other tech giants to make executive moves during the month as companies invest in talent for overseeing sales, technology and partners.
Those executives were:
- Jay Parikh, formerly with Lacework
- Julie Birney Cecilio, formerly with Cohesity
- Neha Varshney Arora, formerly with Xoriant
In October, the U.S. saw its weakest job growth since 2020 due in part to storms in the Southeast, according to CNBC. Nonfarm payrolls increased by 12,000 for the month, down sharply from September and below the Dow Jones estimate for 100,000.

Jay Parikh
Parikh joined Microsoft in October as an executive vice president.
Parikh came to the Redmond, Wash.-based tech giant after about three years with Lacework, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Lacework as CEO.
His resume includes about 11 years with Facebook as vice president and global head of engineering.
Neha Varshney Arora
In October, Arora became a vice president in Kyndryl Consult’s financial services sector.
Arora joined the New York-based company, No. 9 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500, after about a year with Xoriant, according to her LinkedIn account. She left Xoriant with the title of vice president of sales.
Her resume includes about 15 years with IBM. She left the vendor in 2024 with the title of global director of financial services.
Michelle Chang
Zoom hired Chang as its new CFO in October.
“Reporting directly to Zoom’s founder and CEO Eric S. Yuan, Chang will be responsible for overseeing Zoom’s financial strategy, and will lead the global finance organization, including investor relations, tax, accounting and FP&A,” or financial planning and analysis, according to a company statement.
Chang came to the San Jose, Calif.-based communications vendor after about 25 years with Microsoft, according to her LinkedIn account. She left Microsoft with the title of CFO and corporate vice president of Microsoft commercial sales and partner organization.
Ajay Awatramani
Five9 brought on Awatramani as chief product officer in October.
He “will oversee all aspects of product vision and strategy” including “the design and implementation of new features and enhancements that align with Five9’s ambition to become the orchestration engine for every interaction across the entire customer journey,” according to a company statement.
Awatramani came to the San Ramon, Calif.-based customer experience platform provider after about two years as chief product officer of Cornerstone OnDemand, according to his LinkedIn account.
His resume includes about five years with Adobe and Marketo. He left Adobe in 2020 as head of product and go-to-market. Adobe bought Marketo in 2018.
Russell Reeder
Reeder took on the role of CEO of the merged ATSG and Evolve IP in October.
Reeder came to the New York-based company, No. 177 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500, according to his LinkedIn account. He previously worked at Netrix Global for about two years as CEO.
His resume includes about two years as CEO of Infrascale, leaving in 2022, and two years as CEO of OVHcloud U.S. He left the cloud company in 2018.
Lillian Shao
Oracle hired Shao as vice president of cloud strategic growth initiatives in October.
Shao joined the Austin, Texas-based database products and cloud vendor after about 12 years with Amazon Web Services, according to her LinkedIn account. She left AWS with the title of senior principal of international expansion strategy.
Her resume includes about five years with ChinaCache, leaving the company in 2012. She left with the title of senior director of global sales.
Mark Clayman
Clayman took on the role of CEO of Success Computer Consulting in October.
Clayman came to the Golden Valley, Minn.-based company, a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500, after about 17 years on and off with Navisite and Surebridge.
He left Navisite with the CEO title after its acquisition by Accenture. Navisite acquired Surebridge in 2004. He worked at TriCore Solutions for about five years, leaving as CEO when Rackspace acquired the company.
In October, Success Computer Consulting merged with Texas-based MSP Netrio.
Monica Pierce
Pierce became vice president of personal systems operations technology at HP Inc. in October.
Pierce joined the Palo Alto, Calif.-based computer maker after working with Microsoft for about two years, according to her LinkedIn account. She left Microsoft with the title of senior director of cloud supply chain sourcing, sustainability and security.
Her resume includes about 19 years with Dell Technologies. She left Dell in 2022 with the title of senior director of service delivery.
Julie Birney Cecilio
Cecilio became vice president of revenue enablement at CrowdStrike in October.
Cecilio joined the Austin, Texas-based security vendor after about a year with Cohesity, according to her LinkedIn account. She left Cohesity with the title of vice president of revenue enablement and education.
Her resume includes about two years with Collibra. She left the company in 2023 with the title of vice president of go-to-market enablement.
Amit Zavery
In October, Zavery came to ServiceNow, taking on the role of president, chief product officer and chief operating officer.
Zavery joined the Santa Clara, Calif.-based company after more than five years with Google Cloud, according to his LinkedIn account. He left with the title of vice president, general manager and head of platform for Google Cloud.
His resume includes about 24 years with Oracle. He left in 2019 with the title of executive vice president and corporate officer for product development.
Dave Guzzi
Intel promoted Guzzi to global channel chief, with the official title of vice president of global partner scale, in October.
Guzzi has been with the Santa Clara, Calif.-based chipmaker for about 12 years on and off, according to his LinkedIn account. He joined Intel in 2021 as general manager of global channel sales.
His resume includes about 10 years on and off with Equus Computer Systems. He left Equus in 2021 as CEO.
Tom Garvens
In October, Garvens returned to Google, taking on the role of vice president of advanced technology innovation for data centers.
Garvens came to the Mountain View, Calif.-based cloud and AI giant after about a year with Supermicro, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Supermicro with the title of vice president of hardware solutions.
His resume includes more than 19 years with Dell Technologies, leaving in 2022 with the title of vice president of server infrastructure.
Michael Amsinck
In October, Keepit hired Amsinck as chief product officer.
As part of this role, he “will be instrumental in shaping and executing Keepit’s short and long-term product road map” while “translating Keepit’s strategic vision into actionable plans, ensuring the company continues to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of its customers,” according to a company statement.
The Denmark-based data protection vendor brought on Amsinck after he worked at Cision, Brandwatch and Falcon.io for about 10 years, according to his LinkedIn account.
He left Cision with the title of chief product and technology officer. Cision bought Falcon.io in 2019 and in 2021 merged it with Brandwatch.
Mark Schwartz
Schwartz became chief operating officer of ControlUp in October.
Schwartz joined the San Francisco-based IT services platform provider after about a year with Workhuman, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Workhuman as CFO.
His resume includes about two years with Markforged, leaving the company in 2023 as CFO.
Kamal Hathi
In October, Hathi became senior vice president and general manager of Cisco subsidiary Splunk.
Hathi joined the San Francisco-based security and observability tools vendor after about four years with DocuSign as CTO, according to his LinkedIn account.
His resume includes about 22 years with Microsoft, leaving the vendor in 2018 with the title of general manager of the tech giant’s PowerBI business. Hathi also served as chief product and technology officer of Trader Interactive for about two years, leaving the role in 2020.
Dham Pathervellai
Pathervellai was promoted to senior vice president and CTO at Ingram Micro in October.
Pathervellai has been with the Irvine, Calif.-based distributor since 2022, according to his LinkedIn account. He previously served as Ingram Micro’s vice president of digital platform engineering.
His resume includes about a year with Market Rebellion. He left the company in 2022 as CTO.
Scott Ekman
Nvidia brought on Ekman as its new vice president of global real estate and site services in October.
Ekman came to the Santa Clara, Calif.-based chipmaker after about nine years with Adobe, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Adobe with the title of vice president of workplace strategy and site operations.
His resume includes about three years with T-Mobile. He left the telecommunications vendor in 2015 as director of strategy and planning.
Vik Gupta
Gupta joined Snowflake in October, taking on the role of vice president of engineering.
Gupta came to the Bozeman, Mont.-based AI data cloud vendor after about two years with Warner Music Group, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Warner with the title of executive vice president of engineering and data science.
His resume includes about three years with Instacart, leaving in 2023 as vice president of ads engineering. He also worked at Google for about 15 years, departing in 2020 as vice president of engineering working in the local search and assistant units.
Paul Kriegler
CGI brought Kriegler on as its new vice president of global alliance management for UiPath and ServiceNow.
Kriegler joined the Montreal-based company, No. 12 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500, after about four years with BigLift Consulting, a firm he founded and worked at as chief customer officer, according to his LinkedIn account.
His resume includes about 19 years with IBM. He left the vendor in 2020 with the title of leader for global digital health-care customer success in genomics.
Bob Humphreys
Humphreys joined Softchoice in October as vice president of demand generation and digital.
Humphreys came to the Toronto-based company, No. 35 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500, after about five years with Thomson Reuters, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Thomson Reuters with the title of senior director of digital strategy.
His resume includes about 21 years with IBM. He left the vendor in 2019 with the title of global program and digital strategy leader of third-party platforms.
Jason Skinner
Long View Systems hired Skinner in October, tasking him with the role of vice president of U.S. sales.
Skinner joined the Calgary, Alberta-based company, No. 77 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500, after about six years with Crayon, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Crayon with the title of national director of innovation and AI solutions.
His resume includes about three years with WorldLink. He left in 2018 with the title of vice president of cloud and innovation solutions.
Ken Fischer
In October, Fischer became vice president of life-cycle management service delivery at UDT.
Fischer joined the Miramar, Fla.-based company, a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500, after about seven years with VMware and Pivotal, according to his LinkedIn account. He left VMware with the role of advisory solutions architect. VMware bought Pivotal in 2019.
His resume includes about four years with Nokia, leaving in 2017 as senior cloud architect.
Jason de Bruin
EPAM Systems hired de Bruin in October as its vice president of delivery management.
The Newtown, Pa.-based company, No. 22 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500, brought on de Bruin after he worked at EY for about seven years, according to his LinkedIn account. He left EY with the title of partner.
His resume includes about two years with Deloitte Canada. De Bruin left Deloitte in 2017 with the title of senior manager for consulting, where he worked on SAP projects.
Mark Strater
Ahead brought Strater on as its new vice president of managed services in October.
Strater came to the Chicago-based company, No. 30 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500, after about a year with Morris Technology Solutions, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Morris as a senior consultant and program manager.
His resume includes about six years with Unisys. He left the company in 2023 with the title of vice president of cloud infrastructure services.
Mark Schulman
In October, Schulman became vice president of production operations at World Wide Technology.
Schulman joined the Maryland Heights, Mo.-based company, a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500, after about five years with Energizer, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Energizer with the title of senior director of North American and United Kingdom battery operations.
His resume includes about three years with RSC Chemical Solutions. He left the company in 2019 with the title of vice president of operations.
Ryan Barker
In October, Barker became engineering vice president at Presidio.
The New York-based company, a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500, hired Barker after he worked at Ahead and Computer Design & Integration for about two years, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Ahead as a field chief technology officer. Ahead bought CDI in February.
Barker’s resume includes about 15 years with Dell Technologies and EMC. He left Dell in 2022 with the title of senior director of east enterprise presales. Dell bought EMC in 2016.
Jon Moats
ePlus hired Moats in October as vice president of financial planning and analysis.
Moats joined the Herndon, Va.-based company, a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500, after about 10 years with Capital One, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Capital One as chief of staff.
Moats also spent about five years in the U.S. Army, leaving in 2005 as a field artillery, forward observer.
Amit Bhutani
Persistent Systems brought on Bhutani in October, tasking him with the role of senior vice president of sales for intelligent business automation.
Bhutani joined the India-based solution provider after about three years with Workato, according to his LinkedIn account. He departed Workato as a regional vice president of enterprise sales.
His resume includes about three years with Automation Anywhere. He left the company in 2021 as enterprise sales director.
Jillian Gallaher
Gallaher joined Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) in October as vice president of the national intelligence market.
Gallaher came to the Reston, Va.-based solution provider after about 14 years with CACI, according to her LinkedIn account. She left CACI with the title of executive division director of intelligence applications services.
She got her start with CACI in 2010 as a project manager and supervisor.
Charlie Wardell
3Cloud has a new vice president and field chief technology officer for data and AI after hiring Wardell in October.
The Downers Grove, Ill.-based solution provider recruited Wardell after he worked at DXC Technology for about a year, according to his LinkedIn account. He left DXC with the title of CTO of AI strategy and architecture.
Wardell spent about 12 years with North Highland and Decooda, a company he co-founded in 2010 and where he served as chief data and technology officer. North Highland bought Decooda in 2022.
